Our tried-and-true OG formula…the solution line that started it all! The Sjolie Original Aloe Vera Line has been with us since day one, and with excellent reason! Jam-packed with antioxidants, hydration, and natural bronzers, our No. 6 Light Blend is beneficial for every spray tan technician to carry.
Formulated with 6% DHA, our No. 6 Light Blend is ideal for your fair-skin clients with cool or pink undertones. Some clients may not desire the dark and drastic tans, and we get that! This solution was intended for your Skin Type I and Skin Type II. Clients looking for a natural, healthy glow—look no further! We have found this solution to be wildly popular in our colder months when the natural sunlight is sparse, and the “fresh off the beach” tan in the middle of January is less desirable.
Enriched with quality ingredients, like Vitamins A, C, and E and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, this solution will leave your client’s skin healthy, glowing, and hydrated.
Vitamin A
Included in Beauty Products to keep skin youthful, Vitamin A will help speed up cell turnover, stimulate collagen production, and keep pores clear. Commonly used in topical face creams to slow the signs of wrinkles, this Vitamin will aid in thickening the second layer of your client’s skin and improve their skin tone.
Vitamin C
As an antioxidant, Vitamin C’s core function is to protect your skin. Vitamin C is known to protect against the air’s free radical damage, promote collagen production, and brighten the skin complexion! When paired with Vitamin E, the two will boost each other’s efficacy.
Vitamin E
Use in a wide variety of Sjolie Products, Vitamin E aids in diminishing the signs of aging. It will strengthen the skin’s protective barrier, prevent moisture loss, help fight free radical damage, and keep the skin soft and smooth.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract
The star of the show with this line of solution! The Aloe Leaf Extract will be your guaranteed moisture lock and ensure your client’s skin is perfectly hydrated for their spray tan. Aloe Vera is used widely in the cosmetic industry for its antioxidant qualities and superb hydrating agencies.
To assist with your technique and give your client that instant color satisfaction, our No. 6 Light Blend will have a natural bronzer created from Walnut Husk* and Caramel. These two ingredients allow us to exclude any artificial dyes and let our quality, Naturally Derived, DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) work to its full potential!
If your client has a nut allergy and is concerned with the Walnut Extract Ingredient, have your client come in for a patch test. Take a small amount of solution on a cotton swab and test it on the inside of their arm. Let your clients know that there is less than 1% of the extract in the solutions and that we have never had anyone report any reaction!
Using Sjolie No. 6 Light Blend on mature skin will add extra hydration to the skin while also minimizing the appearance of skin spots or sun damage. Age spots and sun damage will naturally absorb DHA and appear darker than the rest of the skin. Using a lighter DHA percentage will minimize the contrast!
Did you know that you can mix all 8-hour developing Sjolie Solutions? (see our Mixology Blog here), our No. 6 Light Blend is an excellent tool to have on hand to customize your client’s spray tan truly or to assist you when in a pinch. By mixing our No. 6 Light Blend with higher percentage solutions, you can “dilute” the DHA percentage to something lower.
For example, you have a client coming in, and you’ve run out of their regular No. 9 Medium Blend! Before you start to panic, you realize you have No. 12 Dark Blend and No. 6 Light Blend on hand…Mix 1 oz of No. 6 and 1 oz of No. 12, and you are good to go! Utilizing Sjolie Mixology is an excellent tool to use your overstock of a specific solution and not let any solution go to waste! Our No. 6 Light Blend can be added to any 8-hour solution to lower a DHA percentage or add extra hydration to an alcohol-based solution!
