Wedding Spray Tans

WEDDINGS & SPRAY TANS

With one of the best of days of your client’s life approaching, they will be making sure all beauty appointments are scheduled, hopefully with enough advance! Be sure you’re providing the client with the best service for this important event.

Consultations & Prep

You’ll want to be sure to schedule a consultation and trial spray. Always be sure to have a trial run set up. This will allow you to know the exact formula to use when the final appointment comes. A consultation or trial spray should be scheduled at least two-three weeks in advance to allow enough time for the tan to be removed entirely before the main event. Have the client provide feedback on the first spray tan to determine what needs to happen differently at the final appointment; take into consideration smell, color, temporary bronzer, tan longevity, etc. Customize their formula accordingly.

Timing other beauty appointments

The most important piece of advice to give to your bridal clientele is to book all other beauty appointments BEFORE the spray tan. Other appointments would include nails, hair, lash extensions, waxing, facials, etc. Oils and leftover residue from these treatments can act as a barrier, keeping the spray tan solution from adequately penetrating the skin. We recommend doing these treatments 24-48 hours before the spray tan appointment to ensure their skin is properly balanced and ready for that gorgeous glow!

Scheduling the Final Appointment

We suggest booking the last spray tan appointment two days before the wedding day. Two days in advance will allow the tan to fully develop, leaving the client with fresh, healthy, and glowing skin for the big day. We do not want to risk having any of the cosmetic bronzers rub off on their white dress, so we strongly advise against scheduling the final spray tan the day before the wedding, if possible. If the client is unavailable and must schedule their tan one day before, be sure to remind them of the importance of washing the cosmetic bronzer off completely before dressing in their gown.

Recommended pricing for a wedding party

Wedding parties can be a huge part of your tanning business. With the sunless industry becoming so popular, it’s essential to set your business apart from the rest, especially when it comes to brides and their big day. Incentives are a great way to stick out, please your existing clients, and gain more clientele in the long run. Check out these wedding party incentives:

  1. Offer the bride a complimentary spray tan with a wedding party group.
  2. Offer the bride a complimentary tan for her bachelorette party or honeymoon when she books her wedding & trial tan.
  3. Allow the bride to choose any additive for free (Skin firming, Anti-Aging, Scents, etc.).
  4. Offer a dollar amount off her tan if she refers a friend or family member.
  5. Offer a complimentary retail product for the brides (Tan extender, Airbrush, Bronzed Infusion) to prolong the tan beyond the wedding day. These products could also be used on the honeymoon
  6. Create goodie bags for the bridal. You can include a discount on their next tan.

Be sure with any offer you provide your clients, including terms of service and expiration date.
