Installation
Step
Position the Filter
Place the Extraction Kit onto your fan to determine the fit and the best location for the Velcro Strips so they align correctly on each corner before applying.

Attach the Velcro
Remove the protective film from the Velcro Strips and attach them to each corner of the box fan. The strips should slightly wrap around each corner area to provide the best fit.

Secure the Filter
Start at the bottom, place the filter onto the fan, and adjust to fit the fan feet as needed. Align the center of the filter to the fan and then the top. Remove the protective film from the other side of the Velcro and press tightly to attach.
Caring for Your Filter
The Sjolie Fan Filter is easy to clean and should be washed regularly — we recommend cleaning once a week or as buildup becomes noticeable. To clean, place the filter under running water from a hose or faucet and allow the water to rinse away buildup until it runs clear. For dishwasher cleaning, place the filter on the lower rack and run a complete cycle without the heated dry option.
Choosing the Right Box Fan
Use a Standard 20 x 20 Box Fan
For best results, use a standard, basic box fan which typically measures between 19.5 and 21 inches. This offers the most compatible fit with the filter kit. We recommend a black colored fan to conceal overspray better.
Avoid Contractor-Style Fans
Contractor-style box fans such as Air King models or Lasko POWER models often have larger or differently shaped housings — sometimes measuring 22 inches or more — that may not fit properly with this filter kit.
