In 2009, Ashley Sjolie — a clean-beauty enthusiast frustrated by the chemicals in mainstream spray tan formulas — set out to create something better. Not just a tan that looked natural, but one that was genuinely good for the skin.
What started in a small studio quickly became a shared mission. Ashley and her husband Michael built Sjolie from the ground up — she led formulation and artist education, he built the operations, logistics, and business infrastructure.
