Frequently Asked Questions About Spray Tan Equipment Supplies
Parts are organized by brand and model. Fuji parts fit the soloTAN, studioTAN, and salonTAN turbines and their TAN7350 and FT-5 applicators. Apollo parts fit the Mini Mist, ECO-2, and TC3 systems and their T6000 and T5020 applicators. Universal parts like solution cups, duck bills, ethafoam gaskets, and cleaning supplies work with both brands. If you are unsure which part you need, contact us at help@sjolieinc.com with your machine model.
Replace your turbine filter every 3 to 6 months depending on how many tans you perform daily. High-volume studios spraying 20 or more tans per day should check filters monthly and replace at the first sign of restricted airflow. A clean filter ensures full turbine power, consistent spray patterns, and longer motor life. Keep at least one spare filter in your kit at all times.
No. Fuji and Apollo use different turbine designs, applicator fittings, and hose connections. Fuji parts are only compatible with Fuji turbines and applicators, and Apollo parts are only compatible with Apollo systems. However, universal accessories like solution cups, ethafoam gaskets, duck bill valves, and cleaning supplies work with both brands.
Replace needles and nozzles when you notice sputtering, inconsistent spray patterns, difficulty adjusting fan width, or visible wear on the needle tip. DHA solution gradually builds up on these precision components even with regular cleaning. Most professional technicians replace needles and nozzles every 6 to 12 months depending on daily volume and cleaning habits.
The universal applicator cleaning kit includes specialized brushes and tools designed to reach inside the fluid passages, air cap, and other internal components of your spray tan applicator. Use it for monthly deep cleanings in addition to your daily post-session rinse with warm water or spray gun cleaning solution. The kit works with all Fuji and Apollo applicators.
Fuji turbines use a 10-foot hose. Apollo systems vary — the Mini Mist and Mini Mist Deluxe use a 10-foot hose, while the ECO-2 and TC3 use a 14-foot hose. Always match the replacement hose to your original length and brand. A longer hose provides more freedom of movement around the spray booth but must be compatible with your specific turbine connection type.
Yes. Fuji applicators (TAN7350 and FT-5) are interchangeable across all three Fuji turbines. Apollo applicators (T6000 and T5020) work with all Apollo systems. Upgrading from a T6000 to a T5020 on your Apollo Mini Mist, for example, gives you stainless steel fluid passages and the Ultra-Cool grip without replacing your turbine. The same applies to upgrading from a TAN7350 to an FT-5 on any Fuji turbine.
Keep spare solution cups, ethafoam gaskets, a duck bill valve, and spray gun cleaning solution in your kit at all times. These are the parts that wear out most frequently or are needed in emergencies. Solution cups crack, gaskets dry out, and duck bills lose their seal over time. Having spares on hand prevents any interruption to your spray tan schedule.
