What are spray tan additives?
Concentrated drops you add to the solution cup to change one client's spray. SJOLIE makes DHA Booster for depth, Anti-Aging, Skin Firming and Restore CBD concentrates for how the skin feels, Golden Shimmer for glow, and a range of scent drops. Add them at the appointment, for that one spray, never into the bottle.
Do additives change the color or development time?
Only DHA Booster changes the DHA: two full droppers per ounce add about 1%. The skin-care concentrates, Golden Shimmer and scent drops change the feel, glow and scent of the spray, not its depth. Either way, the 8-hour formulas still develop for 8 hours before the first rinse.
Can I use additives with Rapid solutions?
Yes, all except DHA Booster. Anti-Aging, Skin Firming, Restore CBD, Golden Shimmer and the Pineapple, Coconut and Vanilla scents are listed as compatible with Original Rapid and Luxe Rapid. DHA Booster is made for 8-hour formulas only. For a deeper Rapid tan, have the client rinse later in the Rapid window instead.
How much scent should I add to a spray tan?
One to two full droppers per 2 oz spray. Start with one, and add the second for clients who like more fragrance. SJOLIE solutions have no added fragrance, so the scent drop is the only scent in the cup. Measure it in with the rest of that client's spray, never into the bottle.
How long do spray tan additives last?
DHA Booster, Anti-Aging, Skin Firming and Restore CBD have a 6-month shelf life. Golden Shimmer and the Pineapple, Coconut and Vanilla scents last 12 months. Store them at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, and give the concentrates and shimmer a light shake before you measure them.
Is Restore CBD THC-free?
Yes. Restore CBD Concentrate uses hemp-derived, water-soluble CBD with no THC, plus aloe, glycerin and plant-based collagen, and it's fragrance-free. Add one full dropper per ounce of solution, up to two. It blends with 8-hour and Rapid solutions and keeps for 6 months at room temperature.
