What is an HVLP spray tan machine?
HVLP stands for high volume, low pressure. A turbine moves a large volume of air at low pressure through the spray gun, which breaks the solution into a fine, even mist with less overspray and less wasted product. Every Apollo and Fuji machine on this page is a turbine HVLP system with the gun and hose included.
Which spray tan machine is best for mobile spray tanning?
On a mobile route, weight and setup time count as much as power. The Fuji soloTAN weighs 5 lb, and the 14 lb studioTAN has a mounted gun holder for carrying. The Apollo T100 Mini Mist weighs 6.2 lb and handles 25 to 35 tans a day. The cordless kit needs no hose at all.
What is the quietest spray tan machine?
Of the machines we carry, the Fuji salonTAN is the quietest at 56 dB, then the Apollo TC3 Whisper Mist at 62 dB in its soundproof case. The Fuji soloTAN runs at 75 dB, the Apollo ECO-2 Mighty Mist at 76 dB and the Fuji studioTAN at 79 dB.
Is a cordless spray tan gun as good as a turbine?
For the jobs it is built for, yes. The SJOLIE cordless kit charges in about 60 minutes and runs 32 to 37 minutes on low or 22 to 25 on high. That suits mobile stops, a few clients a week or a backup when your turbine is out. For full days of back-to-back clients, use an HVLP turbine.
Should I buy a spray tan machine or a starter kit?
Buy the machine alone if you already have solution, prep supplies and training. Can I upgrade the spray tan gun without replacing the machine?
Yes. The Apollo T5020 fits any HVLP quick connect. The SJOLIE X1 Pro Applicator fits Fuji, Apollo, MaxiMist and Norvell turbines with a standard quick connect and carries a 5-year warranty. Fuji owners can also switch between the TAN7350 and the FT-5, which fit all three Fuji turbines.
