Spray Tan Solution Samples
Each of our nine DHA formulas comes in an 8 oz sample, enough for about four full-body tans. That’s enough to judge the color and the fade on your own clients before you order a quart. Pick an undertone and a depth, or test a Rapid or Clear against the solution you spray now. Every sample is made with organically derived DHA.

Which spray tan solution samples should you try first?
Start with N°9 Medium, the depth pros request most, in both undertones: Original (olive) for cool and neutral undertones and Luxe (violet) for warm and neutral. Spray each on one or two clients with the same prep, rinse time and aftercare so the comparison is fair. Add a Rapid sample if your clients ask to rinse sooner.
| Sample | Undertone | Best for | DHA · rinse after | Full size |

Every sample is 8 oz, about four full-body tans at 2 oz each. The product pages list up to 10 days of wear for Original N°6 to N°14 and Clear N°9, and up to 7 days for Luxe and both Rapids. Every DHA formula keeps developing for up to 24 hours after the first rinse.
Why artists test with SJOLIE samples
Four tans per bottle
An 8 oz sample covers about four full-body tans. That's enough to watch the color develop and fade on more than one client before you commit to a quart.
A trial size of the real thing
Each sample is a trial size of the formula it's named for, so you're testing the solution you would actually stock, not a stand-in.
Every depth and undertone
Olive comes in four depths from N°6 to N°14 and violet in N°9 and N°12. Both undertones also come in Rapid, and Clear N°9 skips the bronzer guide.
A label you can read to clients
Organically derived DHA from sugar beets and sugar cane, with no erythrulose, mineral oil, parabens or urea. PETA-approved, vegan-certified and gluten-free.

Questions about spray tan samples
How many spray tans does an 8 oz sample make?
About four. A full-body spray tan uses roughly 2 oz (50 ml) of solution, so an 8 oz sample covers four clients at that rate. While you're still dialing in your technique, plan on three. For comparison, a 32 oz quart covers about 16 full-body tans at the same 2 oz rate.
Can I get free spray tan samples?
Yes, through our professional sample program. SJOLIE sends two complimentary 8 oz samples, Original N°9 Medium and Luxe N°9 Medium, and you cover the shipping. It's one request per business, location or person, and you need an HVLP or airbrush system. Every other formula is sold on this page as an 8 oz sample.
Can I use a sample in any spray tan machine?
Yes, in standard HVLP turbines and airbrush systems. Samples are pre-blended professional solution, so you pour and spray with nothing to dilute or measure. They aren't designed for hand application. Don't shake the bottle before use, and pour only what you need for the client in front of you.
How should I store spray tan samples?
Keep samples at 65–75°F, away from direct light, and don't shake them. SJOLIE solution lasts 8 months unopened and 6 months after opening, so open a sample when you're ready to test it on clients, use it promptly, and keep it capped in its own bottle until you need it.
Which sample should I try for clients who need to rinse early?
A Rapid sample. Original Rapid (olive) and Luxe Rapid (violet) use 18% DHA, so clients can rinse after 1 to 5 hours: sooner for a lighter tan, later for a deeper one. The color keeps developing for up to 24 hours after the rinse, the same as the 8-hour formulas.
